ARTIKUL-V3
Mobile Aircraft-Based Direction Finder
Purpose:
- Direction finding, recording, technical analysis and classification of signals used in modern communication systems and data transfer system in HF, VHF, UHF and SHF ranges, as well as localization of their emitters. The last function is provided when the direction finder works as a part of mobile aircraft-based stations.
Typical configuration:
- Dismountable DF antenna system inside radio transparent radome with integrated two-channel radio receiver and navigation equipment (operating frequency range 20-3000 MHz, max. simultaneous bandwidth 24 MHz)
- Control and display unit with SMO-PPK, SMO-STA, SMO-KN, SMO-ASPD Software Packages.

ARTIKUL-V3 Direction Finder installed on a Helicopter
Options
- Built-in module for extension of operating frequency range (1.5 – 8000 MHz)
- Software package
- Analysis of signals of wireless communication and data transmission systems: GSM, UMTS, LTE, 5G, CDMA (IS-95, cdma2000, EV-DO), TETRA, DMR, dPMR, NXDN, APCO P25, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee
- Analysis of DVB-T/T2/H, DTMB signals
- Cross talk detection
- Communication equipment
Features:
- Navigation equipment integrated with the antenna system allows evaluating coordinates and course of the direction finder both while moving and at temporary stops
- To prevent overloading of Direction Finder's digital path in complicated electromagnetic environment, digital radio receiver includes additional analogue paths with 500 kHz bandwidth
- Joint operation of several direction finders (when communication equipment is available), e.g. as a part of Automated Spectrum Monitoring Systems (ARMADA, AREAL etc.)
Direction Finder Provides:
- Single- and multi-channel direction finding of radio signals with any modulation types and spectrum width
- Search for radio emission, measurement of their parameters and comparison with the database
- Creation of databases, their extension and comparing of the recorded data with the references in the database
- Recording of radio signals to a storage device
- Panoramic spectrum analysis within the entire operating frequency range or within separate intervals under complicated electromagnetic conditions, detection of changes in ambient electromagnetic conditions
- Recording the radio environment to the hard drive within a specified frequency range. This procedure can function within a long period and is based on amplitude/frequency/bearing/time coordinates, the station location and the absolute time at the time of saving
- Accumulation of data for further analysis in the postprocessing mode
- Displaying the emitter bearing and localization of detected emitter on the electronic map
