Technical Description

Analyzer is based on ARGAMAK-I Panoramic Field Strength Meter. The receiver is based on measuring radio receiving units according superheterodyne approach with several frequency conversions, which ensures large dynamic range and high measurement accuracy. The maximum simultaneous simultaneous bandwidth is 22 MHz, the basic operating frequency range of the receiver is from 20 to 8000 MHz. The extention of the operating frequency range up to 30 GHz is implemented using external ARC-PS330 Frequency Down-Converter. The receiver includes GPS/GLONASS navigation equipment module. Built-in battery provides for up to four hours battery-run operation.

For operation in manpack mode the unit is supplied with carrying frame that also has bag for antennas and accessories. Delivery set can also include special laptop holder. It can be fixed on operator for operation while moving or to the carrying frame for operation at stops. One can also use tablet PC instead of laptop.

The key feature of the analyzer is the high-precision measurements using certified measurement methods, ability to detect all the transmitted signals in wide dynamic range of levels, as well as ability to search, analyze and measure parameters of digital signals at non-standard frequencies in the entire operating frequency range from 20 to 30 000 MHz. When operating in mobile mode the analyzer provides for automatic localization of cellular base stations based on combination of TDOA and amplitude methods.

When measuring antennas are available, coverage zones are evaluated based on measurements by the analyzer while moving along the route. The picture below presents process of localization of base stations and evaluation of coverage area along the route
